About us >
Hello parents,
South Calgary Community Preschool is a "learning through play" based preschool that strives to teach that learning is fun. Our goal is to provide a safe, loving atmosphere where Christian values and principles are incorporated into a thematic curriculum. We focus on your child's growth as a whole mind, body, and spirit. While we primarily focus on child-led play, we also weave in staff-directed activities to best prepare your child for the learning years ahead of them. We want your child's first school experience to be a positive one that makes them excited to be lifelong learners!

Nicole Falk
Lead Teacher
Nicole has a passion for working with children and strives to impart an excitement of learning to the children she has worked with over the years. She loves watching the children have “light bulb” moments and seeing them master a skill they previously found difficult.
Nicole is a graduate of the Mount Royal University Disability Studies program and has worked with individuals with various disabilities for many years.
From 2012 to 2021, she worked at William Roper Hull School as an Educational Child and Youth Care Counsellor. She worked in a classroom setting with elementary and high school-aged students who have significant mental health, trauma, and social/emotional challenges.
Nicole is married to Russ, one of the pastors at SCCC. They have three young children that they both love spending time with.

South Calgary Community Preschool has served Cedarbrae and the surrounding communities for over 35 years. Our Preschool is a ministry of South Calgary Community Church. We have been licensed with the Alberta Government for many years, which gives us the opportunity to offer families an affordable option through the government child care subsidy and grants.
Our desire is to partner with families to provide each student with early learning opportunities in a Christ-centred, safe, nurturing, and loving environment as they begin their adventure as learners. Our hope is that each child will foster a joy of learning, grow in their knowledge of Jesus, and discover new things about the world around them.
Our teachers and staff are filled with a love and passion for Jesus. They are experienced, knowledgeable, loving teachers who recognize that each child is a precious and unique gift from God. Our teachers have their Early Childhood Educator certification through the provincial government and are First Aid certified.
