People of Faith (in the Old Testament)
Now without faith it is impossible to please God, since the one who draws near to Him must believe He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him. Hebrews 11:6

Preschool Families Potluck Dinner
You and your family are invited to a Preschool Family Potluck Dinner here at the church on Thursday, November 10th from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. We look forward to a great connecting time where we can get to know you and your family better and where the Preschool families can get to know each other better too!
We will provide pulled pork and buns. If you could bring either a salad, side, or dessert. Please let us know what you will be bringing. Also, please advise if anyone has dietary restrictions.
Teddy Bear Picnic
On Wednesday, November 16th we will have a ‘Teddy Bear Picnic’ at preschool. Please have your child bring their favourite Teddy Bear (or stuffed animal) to Preschool that day for a special morning of activities.
Scholastic Book Orders
We are excited to provide you with an opportunity to order books from the Scholastic Reading Club. Please bring your book orders to the school no later than Monday, November 21st. Parents you can also order online at www.scholastic.ca/readingclub and use the Class Code RC147114 for our Preschool.
If you have had any changes in your contact information (business, home or cell numbers or an address change), would you kindly let us know so that we can update your information on your child’s registration form. We need to keep current information so that in the event of an emergency we are able to reach you.
For your child’s birthday, if you would like to provide a small snack (something simple) for the preschool children to celebrate their birthday, please let one of the teachers or Kathy know. We will supplement your birthday snack with some fruit or veggies as part of our preschool snack for that day.
Indoor Shoes & Outerwear
Just a reminder to make sure your child has indoor shoes for the classroom. We want to be sure our classroom floors stay clean! Each child has a cubby hole to keep their indoor shoes in after class each day. Outdoor shoes, coats and backpacks can be left on the coat hooks in the lobby. Please look for your child’s name above the hooks.
Also, weather permitting, the children and teachers may go outside during class time for some fresh air and learning and play time. Please ensure your child has a jacket and a hat and mittens each day. They can be left on the coat hooks in the lobby.
We will be conducting monthly fire drills. We have explained to the children we are just practicing in case there is ever a time when we need to leave the building quickly. Please take some time to chat with your child about this.
Parents are welcome to volunteer in the classroom. Your assistance is appreciated but certainly not compulsory. Occasionally we will ask parents to volunteer for special projects such as Christmas crafts, making playdoh or field trips. Even if you are unable to come into the classroom or volunteer for a special craft, we would still appreciate your support by praying for our children and teachers.
If your child will be absent for any reason, ill or away, please notify the preschool prior to class time. You can contact us at 403.281.6755, extension 227 or email both Kathy email@example.com and Nicole firstname.lastname@example.org.
Spaces Still Available
We still have spaces available for this school year. We would appreciate you sharing this information with your friends, neighbours, and family to spread the word about our preschool. Yearly surveys we conduct indicate you are our most effective
