Welcome to Preschool. We are so excited to be reopen again and to welcome your family to our Preschool. Ms. Nicole, Ms. Tamzen and myself, Kathy, are looking forward to this new school year and getting to know you and your children.

Our classes for 3 and 4 year-olds are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:30 to 11:30 am.

Some important information about Fridays: The church office is not open on Fridays so there will not be anyone on the main floor of the building. In order to keep our building safe during Preschool hours, the main church doors will be locked during class time. We will have the doors unlocked for Preschool families 10 minutes before class starts and 10 minutes before class ends. If there is an emergency and you need to pick up your child while the doors are locked, please ring the buzzer (located on the wall by the left doors). It will ring in the classroom so one of the teachers can come down and let you in. Please only use the buzzer if it is an emergency, otherwise wait for the doors to be unlocked at 11:20. Hopefully this will work for all of our Preschool families. We appreciate your cooperation.

Here are some bits of information to help you during the school year:

  • Please arrive at 9:30 each morning so we can begin class on time. This maximizes the enjoyment and learning time for all children and minimizes disruption for the other children when there is a late arrival.

  • Outdoor clothing should be left on the coat hooks in the lobby. Due to fire regulations children are required to have shoes on at all times. You may leave a pair of indoor shoes in your child’s cubby if you wish.

  • Please ensure you sign your child in and out each day on the Attendance Sheet. This attendance record is required for Alberta Government Licensing and Fire Code Regulations.

  • Class is finished at 11:30. Please pick up your child promptly at the end of class. If you are running late due to unforeseen circumstances, please call the school immediately to let the teachers know (403.281.6755, ext. 227).

  • If your child will be late for any reason, parents/caregivers please notify the preschool prior to class time. Please call 403.281.6755, ext. 227 or email

  • Feel free to stay in the classroom for the first few weeks if your child is experiencing separation anxiety. We want this to be a positive beginning to their school experience.

  • Please send your children in durable, washable play clothes.

  • Weather permitting, the children and teachers may go outside during class time to learn and play games. Please ensure your child is prepared by providing outdoor clothing and footwear.

  • Please leave a labelled bag of extra clothes for your child in case of an accident.

  • Parent volunteers are welcome beginning October 3rd. Please let the teachers know ahead of time so they are prepared.

  • Children who are displaying any symptoms of fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, bad cough or running nose are considered to be contagious and should be kept at home. If a child begins to display any of the above symptoms during class time, parents/caregivers or emergency contacts will be contacted to pick the child up from preschool.

  • Please note that the preschool is a peanut/nut free zone.

  • We will send out a class list in October including your name, phone number and email. If you do not wish to have this information published, please let me know. We will add phone number and email info for our teachers as well as the church phone number to the list. Please do not hesitate to call if you have any questions or concerns.

Spaces Still Available

We still have spaces available for this school year. We would appreciate you sharing this information with your friends, neighbours, and family to spread the word about our preschool. Yearly surveys we conduct indicate you are our most effective form of advertising. Thank you.
